Each and every god that ever existed reflects exactly the knowledge, the ignorance, the virtues and flaws, the culture and habits of the people who invented it. Evolution of gods happened only by replacement and it happened in that very moment when humans evolved enough to be embarassed by the ignorance of their ancestors.
Now, for the first time in history, enough humans started to realize that inventing a new god is unnecessary.
